at a loss of words

It is always tough to talk about yourself because either we try to be too humble and overlook all our achievements or we let our ego talk and discount all the failures. So I’ll keep it as factual and objective as possible.

I was born in New Delhi on 15th of October in 1982. Spent childhood travelling around with parents, accompanying dad in all his transfers. Spent adolescence in Delhi, playing cricket in the streets. Spent most of early adulthood looking at flip-flop of relays and transistors at NSIT, New Delhi from where I did my engineering. Then came the big break, went to IIM Lucknow for MBA. Specialised in Marketing and operations. As of now will be joining Asian Paints sales and marketing.[Update 1] Right now I am working with Asian Paints in Mumbai trying to make sense out of colours. And honestly I never knew that selling paint is more complex then making paints.[Update 2] Still in Mumbai after a brief sojourn to Pune as the unit head of Asian Paint Home Solutions, the only painting service of its type in the world. Thoroughly enjoyed leading a 15 member team and selling not paint but “a painted wall”.[Update 3]Life’s journey and we are all lifeboats in ocean. Moved on to join Milagrow Business and Knowledge Solutions from 1st may 2008. Working as a Knowledge Guide, partenring with entreprenurs and start ups to take business to newer horizons.[Update 4] Life’s all about making decisions. I have joined one of the largest consulting companies in the world, PricewaterhouseCoopers(PwC). I am based out of Gurgaon office and currently living also in Gurgaon.

Interests include reading, listening to music, blogging (not in any order) and chatting with a few special friends about life, the universe and everything.

Philosophy in life: Little by little you travel far…

Special interest includes marketing…anything even remotely related to that.

Career skills include ability to talk, sell, make fairly good presentations, make sense of data and organise activities.

I am looking forward towards starting a marketing strategy consulting firm some years down the line..Insha Allah.[Update] That might sound a little global (due to the presence of word “strategy”) but still its a dream nonetheless.
